The first day of contest at the Telekom Extreme Playgrounds stop of the WWA World Wake Park Series is done and Sunday’s line up of riders has been decided. During qualification this afternoon, nine boarders and four skaters secured their positions in Sundays finals. As usual there is the Saturday night rider’s party which is not only the place to be to check out “Das Bo & Der Hängergäng“, but also to witness the draw for tomorrows head-to-head competitions.
Congrats! Lior Sofer, Matty Hasler, Steffen Vollert, Rocco van Straten, Lewis Cornwall, Declan Clifford, Felix Georgii, Julian Cohen and local hero Daniel Bagrowski made it through the qualification round. These nine wakeboard pros will challenge WWA Top 4 Fredy von Osten, Tom Fooshee, Dominik Gührs, Daniel Grant and Telekom Local Support Wakeboard Challenge winner Rene Konrad.
From 16 of the best skaters in the world there are just four left in it, ready to fight it out alongside the boarders in front of the expected 8000 strong crowd. Tarik Ghoniem, Reed Hansen, Jan Kissmann und Moritz Thiele will fight for the title.
